Investigation committees

 

An investigation committee is a committee established to investigate the complaint of a patient or his/her representative or to investigate an irregular incident related to the providing of medical treatment.

 

The Knesset Research Department prepared a background paper for the Labor, Welfare and Health Committee’s discussion of “The Ministry of Health Investigation Committees: Following Allegations of Doctor’s Negligence”. Following the Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee’s meeting on February 3, 2004, during which arguments regarding the management of the investigation committees were heard, the Knesset Research Department prepared a comprehensive research paper on the activities of the Ministry of Health’s investigation committees.
