The Israel AIDS Task Force is the only national NGO that is the oldest and most significant in the field of AIDS in Israel. The Committee to Fight AIDS was established as a non-profit organization in 1985 by a group of social activists with the aim of promoting the health of the general public with regard to AIDS.

The committee's management is in constant contact with the government authorities and health services as the representative organization of life with HIV and AIDS in Israel with the aim of preserving and promoting the rights of this public.

The support team works tirelessly to support people living with AIDS and their relatives. Together with them, a professional information team works to deepen knowledge in the field of AIDS, including information on the ways in which the disease spreads, methods of prevention and publication of advanced medical information.

We are committed to working to provide a life of dignity and well-being for people living with HIV. We do this primarily through political and media activities to raise awareness, provide psychosocial services, provide social assistance, and handle complaints.

Our outreach activities include informational workshops mainly for youth, a website, management of online forums, initiation and production of advertising campaigns to raise awareness and an open telephone line for information and support. All this to promote knowledge about HIV and AIDS and responsible sexual behavior that is the basis for preventing new HIV infections .
